Simone Leitão at "Fronteiras do Pensamento"

In 2009, Simone was invited to join the lecture cycle called Fronteiras do Pensamento, in order to bring music into an interdisciplinary debate. Before each lecture she interacted with the audience and played pieces of her repertory which were linked with the most diverse topics. Now in 2011, she returns to this wonderful project, in its debut in São Paulo.

Solo CD – Brazil Tour

The solo tour will reach 8 cities of 4 different regions in Brazil.

The program:

  • J. S. Bach – English Suite no. 3 in G minor
  • S. Barber – Excursions op. 20 no. 3 and 4
  • A. Ginastera – Sonata no. 1
  • A. Mehmari (commissioned piece – 2011) – Grande Baião de Concerto
  • S. Rachmaninoff – Sonata no. 2 (1931 version)

In every town, Simone will play recitals and give masterclasses to local students. All the proceeds of the box office will be donated to a local music school.
